What's New for the 2025 Toyota 4Runner?

The Toyota 4Runner is redesigned for the 2025 model year. The newest 4Runner has many changes, including a modernized platform, more powertrain availability, and a broad selection of trim levels. The 4Runner has a newer, more contemporary exterior design, and there are some additional features you can tack on to the 4Runner to enhance your ride.

What Are the 2025 4Runner Trims & Features?

The first 4Runner is the SR5. This trim level has a standard power-operated rear window, and a power liftgate is available. Toyota's signature Safety Sense package of safety aids is standard, starting with the base model.

The TRD Sport is one of the more off-road oriented trims with 20-inch wheels, synthetic leather seats, and trim-specific interior accents.

The TRD Sport Premium has a standard eight-inch touchscreen display, and a 14-inch multimedia display is available.

The TRD Off Road has an electronic locking rear differential and a standard hybrid powertrain. There are more settings for off-road driving starting with this trim level.

The TRD Off Road Premium has many of the same features as the Off Road, and you can get a kinetic dynamic suspension system to improve wheel traction and handling on off-road terrain.

The Limited is a more luxurious trim level in the 4Runner lineup. The Limited has leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, a sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and a premium JBL audio system.

The Platinum is a new addition to the lineup with the 2025 4Runner lineup. The Platinum has black exterior styling elements, extending heated seats to the second row. A tow package is standard, and you'll also get a head-up display and automatic rain-sensing wipers.

The TRD Pro includes a sunroof, JBL sound system, and navigation. It has all-terrain tires, custom wheels, a roof rack, and an exhaust system.

The Trailhunter is another new trim with rock rails and high-strength skid plates. It also has a lifted suspension for better ground clearance.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2025 4Runner Have?

The standard engine produces 278 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. The hybrid powertrain is standard or is available based on trim and makes 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque.

What Safety Features Does the 2025 4Runner Include?

The 4Runner has lane departure alert, dynamic radar cruise control, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, automatic high beams, and lane departure alert.
